About
Arabic Language Studies is a multi-level program at Dod Academy made up of several classes designed for different ages and proficiency levels. Students progress through a structured curriculum that strengthens the core skills needed to read, understand, and use Arabic with confidence—primarily in the context of Islamic studies. Classes are offered across key subjects, including Reading, Conversation, Ṣarf (morphology), Dictation, Listening Skills, and Composition. Each level builds on the previous one, helping students develop accuracy in pronunciation and reading, expand vocabulary, understand word patterns and grammar foundations, and express themselves clearly in speech and writing. The goal of the program is to help students become firmly grounded in Classical Arabic, so they can better understand Islamic texts such as the Qur’an, Hadith, and the works of reputable scholars.
